Breakfast Webinar: Embracing fintech for business continuity

Date: 29 April 2020

Time: 09:00 - 10:00

open invitation

When we initially arranged our fintech breakfast, we were in a very different place to the one we find ourselves in now. Our focus for the breakfast was going to be what the fintech opportunity for Scotland is and how financial technology enables business growth. However, in a short period of time, life and business has dramatically changed from how we work; to buying goods and services; and business priorities. We’ve all had to respond and adapt to the present environment to ensure business continuity.

As our current environment has changed, our business breakfast will now be a webinar focusing on how financial technology is actually helping businesses to remain trading in these unusual circumstances. As many businesses have moved to remote working for the first time and the Covid-19 restrictions prevent face to face meetings and transactions, we are being presented with issues we have not encountered before which the right technology could solve.

Our speakers Stephen Ingledew, chief executive officer, FinTech Scotland and Adam Bell, owner, Moment will share their insights and discuss the:

  • Strategic outlook for fintech in Scotland and the collaborative opportunities available
  • Practical application of financial technology from a business to business perspective including online transactions and cashflow
  • Upskilling – understanding the skill set required for jobs which have not previously existed

Mostly importantly, there will be an opportunity for you to ask Stephen and Adam questions about investing in the opportunities and right technology to maintain and grow your business in this exceptional time.

This webinar will be BYOB – bring your own breakfast.

Who should sign up?

Business owners, commercial directors, finance directors, SMEs, entrepreneurs, family businesses and intermediaries across all sectors.
