FinTech affects all of our daily lives. How we transact has in many ways not changed for hundreds of years, and now it is changing at an almost daily pace. The exciting part is how innovative this space is with large dollars chasing large opportunity to radically change how all of us participate in local and global economies.

What is it about FinTech that excites you?

FinTech affects all of our daily lives. How we transact has in many ways not changed for hundreds of years, and now it is changing at an almost daily pace. The exciting part is how innovative this space is with large dollars chasing large opportunity to radically change how all of us participate in local and global economies.

What do you envisage being the biggest development in FinTech in the next 5 years?

The evolution away from traditional paper currency and the rise of AI in our interactions with our financial systems generally.

What do you enjoy doing in your time away from work?

Trying to keep up with my two daughters on the football pitch and basketball court.

What is the biggest change that you have witnessed in the sector over the past 12 months?

AI in most FinTech solutions is now almost table stakes. Whether it is actually really AI in many solutions remains to be seen, but the purported offering is highly ubiquitous.
