Head of Financial Services Regulation, Hogan Lovells
Rachel is Head of Financial Services Regulation at Hogan Lovells, and advises banks, insurers, asset managers and clearing houses and exchanges. She has been recognized as a leading individual for nearly two decades and her vast experience at the heart of the sector allows her to make instinctive judgements in tackling structural and regulatory issues.
Rachel serves as Chair of the IRSG Brexit working group and has been the lead author of their three Brexit reports analysing legal and regulatory issues posed to financial services. This role involves meeting UK Government, HMT, European parliamentarians and the industry on a regular basis. This, coupled with her leading role on TheCityUK’s report on passporting and equivalence, means she is at the cutting edge of Brexit thinking and is a significant industry figure.
In addition to her Brexit expertise Rachel has also been vital in developing a strong FinTech practice, including chairing the Industry Sandbox committee led by Innovate Finance, alongside the FCA and Treasury. She recently joined the Innovate Finance FinTech Strategy Group alongside other leading industry personalities to look at how they continue to support the development of UK FinTech.
