The first of four Australian Fintech Series webinars facilitated by the Victorian Government to showcase the opportunities for international fintech companies looking to invest in Australia.

Australia is a flourishing destination for fintech investment and innovation. Last year investment in Australian fintechs rose by 252 per cent.

A number of recent changes in Australia including the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry, the introduction of Consumer Data Rights and the expansion of the Australian regulatory sandbox, are creating opportunities and demand for fintechs.

Established financial institutions are rapidly embracing the disruptive nature of fintech, creating partnerships with emerging new fintech firms to improve efficiencies, reduce risk and respond to customer demand.
