Innovate Finance Launches New FinTech Academy

Innovate Finance is launching its new FinTech Academy to help the UK community of early and mid-stage founders and CEOs in their growth journey.
The Academy will include practical workshops, peer networking roundtables and investor meetups.
London, 6th October 2022 - Innovate Finance, the industry body representing UK FinTech, is launching its new FinTech Academy specifically designed to support the early and mid-stage community of Founders, CEOs and FinTech leaders in their growth journey.
The Programme is a set of initiatives designed for Innovate Finance’s startup and scale up members and their senior teams. It will include a series of face-to-face and online events to provide industry insights, practical knowledge and tangible support on key business areas such as investment, talent, marketing and PR, building the right Board, partnerships and customer acquisition. It will also support early stage FinTechs in broadening their overall connections across the FinTech ecosystem.
It is important that CEOs, Founders and their leadership teams have the opportunities to develop key skills and knowledge to ensure innovative UK FinTech businesses continue to scale.
Janine Hirt, CEO of Innovate Finance, said:
“Early stage startups and founders are at the heart of the UK’s FinTech ecosystem. If the UK is to continue as the global leader in FinTech, we all must work together to support these early stage founders and provide them with the tools, insight, and connections necessary to thrive, as they will be the high growths and unicorns of the future. These next generation companies will play a key role in shaping the next chapter of financial services, at a time when it is perhaps more important than ever before to ensure we create a sector that is more democratic, more sustainable and more inclusive. We are incredibly excited to launch the Innovate Finance FinTech Academy this year to provide exactly this type of support.”
The regular FinTech Academy sessions will start in November 2022. These will include:
-
- Workshops where participants can network and gain knowledge from industry leaders on specific business functions.
- C-Suite Roundtables where participants from startup leadership teams can share their experiences with peers. Focus areas will include marketing, operations and business efficiency, innovation, team building and culture, thought leadership, business development.
- Investor meetups where founders will be introduced to FinTech investors to learn more about their investment strategies and the best way to approach them when pitching for funding.
The program will run annually for Innovate Finance startup and scaleup members. You can find out more about the timetable of activity on the Innovate Finance event page here.
