Ntt Data to Hold Open Innovation Contest 9.0 in Search of New Partners and Businesses

Champion to receive a 3-month intensive business development sponsored by NTT DATA
NTT DATA Corporation (NTT DATA) will host its 9th Open Innovation Contest and is currently accepting applications through the Contest’s official website: http://oi.nttdata.com/en/contest/. Regional contests will be held in 20 cities across 18 countries, with the regional winners being invited to the Grand Finale in Tokyo in March of 2019.
NTT DATA has been hosting Open Innovation contests twice a year since 2014. The global Contest 5.0 hosted regional semi-finals in 10 cities of nine countries to further emphasize the global aspect of the event for the first time 2016-2017. The most recent global contest 7.0 was expanded to hold in 15 cities 2017-2018. The finalists, who won regional semifinals, then competed at the Grand Finale in Tokyo in March, 2018. The Grand Champion 5.0 Social Coin and NTT DATA jointly developed regional understanding solutions by leveraging AI, and are selling it globally including Japan. The Grand Champion 7.0, Gestoos is now realizing their POC opportunity with the NTT DATA client. With continuous success of the contests, NTT DATA decided to expand The Contest 9.0 to 20 cities. Any startup company is welcome to submit a proposal for a collaborative business with NTT DATA in fields such as Healthcare & Life Sciences / Finance, Insurance & Payments / Automotive & IoT / RPA & Back Office / Storefront & Digital Marketing / Data Distribution / Disruptive Social Innovation.
The Grand Finale in Tokyo will be held in March 2019. NTT DATA will cover travel expenses for the presenter of each winner of regional contest. The Grand Finale winner will receive a three-month in-kind contribution to support the development of their proposed new business. Moreover, NTT DATA launched the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Award from the 8th contest, aiming to realize solutions to achieve the global commitment. NTT DATA is actively seeking business proposals to address global challenges.
