Ricky Knox

A serial investor and entrepreneur, Ricky founded Azimo, a social digital payment

platform, and Small World Financial Services, a money transfer service. He is

Managing Partner at the private equity investment firm, Hexagon Partners, and

previously worked at MMC Ventures. Ricky is a first-class graduate of Bristol

University and holds an MBA from INSEAD.

App-operated bank Tandem was conceived after Ricky and his co-founder Matt

Cooper noticed a gap in the market for a disruptive bank that helped customers

solve real problems and manage their money smarter, rather than being a source of

stress and financial woe. Fintech vets, Ricky and Matt saw that major change was on

the horizon for retail banking so decided to take matters into their own hands and

build a better bank. Having acquired Harrods Bank and launched with their first

product, a cashback credit card, Tandem is well on its way to solving real problems

faced by real consumers.
