Sushil Kuner

Sushil Kuner is a Financial Services Regulatory lawyer and joined Gowling WLG in July 2018, having spent eight years working in a range of senior roles within the Supervision and Enforcement Divisions of the Financial Conduct Authority. She heads up Gowling WLG's FinTech Accelerator Group and is named as a 'Rising Star' by the Legal 500 for Financial Services Regulation and as a key lawyer in FinTech.

Sushil has a particular interest in FinTech, advising a number of clients on regulatory considerations for ICOs, STOs, blockchain and crypto-assets since joining. Particular experience includes advising FinTech start-ups with novel business models on structuring and perimeter issues, FCA licencing requirements and on compliance with the UK Money Laundering Regulations. She has also authored a number of articles and contributed to leading industry publications on a diverse range of issues including cryptoassets, the use of blockchain in the Metaverse and the use of AI in financial services.
