Tim McEwan
Founder and Managing Partner, GoldCrest
Tim specialises in organisational culture, high performing teams and leadership development. He provides advisory support to individual executives and wider organisations through boards, executive committees and management teams. He is founder and managing partner of Goldcrest partners.
Tim’s experience is broad having worked with numerous leadership teams across asset management, private equity and banking, as well as supporting private equity value creation teams with their portfolio businesses.
Tim started his career in the British Army, commissioning from Sandhurst into the Infantry. His roles in the Army ranged from counter terrorism operations globally to being appointed Equerry to a member of the British Royal Family. His final role in the Army was at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where he was a Leadership Instructor.
On leaving the Army, Tim cut his commercial teeth as a consultant for a number of years before taking on the role as Global Head of Leadership and Learning at the global asset manager, Henderson. In that role he took the culture through a significant transformation from 2012-2015 and then again through the merger with Janus. In 2015 Tim was appointed a Fellow in Management Practice at The University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School where he collaborates with the Executive Education department and focuses his teaching on Leadership, Team and Culture.
