Tom Bussey

Tom is an Investment Director in HSBC’s Corporate Venture Capital arm and has been at HSBC for nine years, initially in a PE M&A Advisory role before joining HSBC Ventures. The team invest into technology companies which are strategically relevant to HSBC or the wider Financial Services ecosystem, committing $3m - $15m across funding stages from Series A to Growth. The team have made c.30 such investments globally since inception in 2014. 

Some of the investments Tom has led include Divido (UK based White label BNPL platform), Quantexa (UK based decision intelligence platform), Bud (UK based Open Banking platform), EpisodeSix (US based Payments Technology provider), MioTech (Hong Kong based ESG Data Analytics), Vizolution (UK based Digital customer journeys), and CXA Group (Singapore based Employee benefits platform).
